Patternmaking
One of the first steps to creating your design is developing the pattern. We develop patterns digitally using our CAD (computer-aided design) system. They are saved digitally and easily accessed whenever needed.
Having a digital library saves you space in your fashion design studio and ensures safe storage of patterns. We can also print patterns on paper or cardboard if you desire.
Grading
Once your design is approved and patterns completed, you will need all other sizes produced, and this is where grading comes in. This is done quickly on our digitised CAD system.
All graded patterns are stored digitally and sent to manufactures digitally in the file format you require. Generally, these are DXF files.
Digitising
Digitising is the process of taking your existing cardboard pattern and converting it into digital format. The pattern can then be manipulated to create new patterns, graded, and sent as an external file for manufacturing.
Digitise your existing blocks and patterns so you can easily find them for patternmaking and grading.
Sample Making
A toile is a test garment made usually from Calico fabric to check the fit and proportioning of a pattern. This service includes the Calico fabric, cutting the sample and sewing up the toile for a fit session, or seeing if the styling is on the right track.
A sample of the design can also be made using your fabric. This service includes a sample marker, cutting, and sewing the sample garment finished to industry standards. You will receive a high-quality sample garment ready for fittings and to be used in selling and marketing.

Technical Specifications - Tech Pack
All the components that make up your technical specifications are otherwise known as a Tech Pack. Trade sketches and technical specifications are an integral part of creating styles and garments as they are the most effective way to communicate with manufacturers. Creating your Tech Pack includes a technical flat drawing and detailed specifications of the design.

Technical training on using CAD and Adobe Illustrator to create graded patterns or draw technical sketches is available for industry professionals and fashion students.
